Bio
I am a documentary and studio photographer based between Barcelona, Spain, and Kolkata, India.

I began my career as a science reporter, primarily covering the environment and health, for media outlets such as the Village Voice, Nature Magazine and National Geographic News.

After working in print journalism for more than a decade, I made a self-taught transition into photography and visual story-telling. I am inspired by the human spirit, and feel drawn to stories of cultural and environmental heritage, and the interconnection between humans and nature.

I am a contributing freelance photographer for the Guardian. My images have been published by Getty Images, Annabelle Magazine, and El Diario, among others. I am a member of Woman Photograph, and a recent winner of the International Photography Festival Award, 2025.
